The quality of care you give to others is dependent on the care you give yourself first
Putting yourself last will never help you get ahead ...
You know that endless list of to-dos on the farm?
Do you ever put YOURSELF on that list?
If you are like most of the farmers and ranchers I work with, the answer is no.
Or if we ever do make it on the list, it's always an afterthought.
Like maybe if we cross everything else off this list - get all these things accomplished - then maybe we've earned some time for ourselves.
But honestly, when was the last time you honored that half-hearted promise to yourself? Praised yourself for a job well done and took the time to take care of yourself. To Rest. Restore. Recharge.
Yeah... that doesn't tend to happen.
The day comes to an end and half of the s**t on our list from this morning still hasn't been crossed off. The reason we didn't get everything done is that we had another 20 fires to put out today.
And that just bumps YOU further and further down the list.
And that's just the farm stuff. What about your relationships? Your family? Running a household?
Everything else feels more urgent than you.
But this leaves you feeling completely drained. Exhausted.
And then we get up and do it all over again tomorrow 🥱
But darlin' you don't have to keep riding this Merry-Go-Round of Depletion.
When the soil is farmed out, we prioritize soil health. We cover crop. We give back. We replenish. We give the soil what it needs to bring itself back into balance.
You don't need a spa day. You don't need a nap.
You need to believe that investing in you is worth it.
You are worthy of being on that to-do list. Today. Every Day.
Because you are the most valuable asset on the farm. ✨
