Hey there! I'm Katia. I've been a farmer, rancher, and direct-to-market producer for the last 16 years.

𝐈 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐲𝐥𝐞.

But tbh, it took me a long time to feel like I could say that from a place of integrity 🫣

Sure it was a canned answer for my friends and customers.

But deep down it came with a lot of "buts" and "except..."

It was like saying only the FIRST half of the sentence out loud:

"I love the lifestyle!" <insert internal whispering> 𝘌𝘟𝘊𝘌𝘗𝘛 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘹, 𝘺, 𝘻... 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘥𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘐 𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘮𝘺𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘐'𝘮 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘳 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦. 𝘐'𝘮 𝘦𝘹𝘩𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘐'𝘮 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘢𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘥. 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘮𝘺 𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘮, 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘢𝘮 𝘐 𝘶𝘯𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘺?

Something shifted for me when I asked "What would have to change to have a different experience?"

Of course, the first thought was 🔥 BURN IT ALL DOWN! 🔥 (We've all been there amirite?)

The second thought? "You" 🤯

I had no idea exactly how to start doing that but the thought was relentless.

I started by working on the "quiet part" of the sentence - all the ways ag is physically demanding, emotionally draining, socially isolating.

I listened to the stories I was telling myself. And after a while, my a** just got so tired of hearing the same ole song.

So I added to the sentence:

Farming is hard because of x,y,z AND here's why I choose to show up.

✨ It was magic. It reconnected me to my "why" and who I wanted to become.

In learning how to overcome the mental obstacles of farming, I discovered peace, calm, and clarity. But mostly, I fell in love with my ranch all over again (challenges and all).

Now I coach other farmers, ranchers, and agricultural producers (from newbies to multi-generational legacies) on how to create the same.

𝐌𝐲 𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠. 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞.
